Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actor who is best known for her character in Missandei (HBO's fantasy series Game of Thrones) from 2011 to 2019 in the role of a British actress. Emmanuel was born in Southend-on-the-Sea an area of Essex and found herself drawn to performing arts since the age of three. Her mother was quick to notice, and when young Nathalie was just three years old, parents took her to the singing, dancing and acting classes. Emmanuel was a talented actor, who was developing rapidly. As of the middle of the 90s, she was a her role as a little Nala in "The Lion King,"" a West End musical that was a huge success. As she grew into an adult, Emmanuel began auditioning for film and TV roles. Her breakthrough came in 2007, when she was cast as Sasha Valentine, a British soap opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95between 2007 and 2010). Emmanuel played the part for four seasons, before leaving the show in 2010. Her next breakthrough was three years later, when she was cast in the role of Missandei as the character's interpreter Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones." Emmanuel would go on to reprise her role in every subsequent seasons of "Game of Thrones"" all the way through the final episode in May of 2019.
